Free-gov is free software for free governments. This is a people's initiative (there is no "company" behind this project), and everybody is welcome to download the code, to study it, to improve it, to find errors, write translations, documentation... or just to spread the word!

Free-gov community work and personal interactions are regulated by these simple rules. Our rules are as simple as necessary. Please understand them.


Non technical matters


1) Respect and tolerance are key values in our community. Please honor them in each interaction with other members
2) Avoid sexist or discriminatory language in mail lists, forums, etc.
3) Every code contribution must be preceded by a signed agreement (from Harmony Agreements Project) where contributor extends a licence to free-gov project team.


Technical matters


1) Free-gov uses Pear Coding Standards in PHP code
2) We use procedural C-style programming. Avoid objets in core system.
